Hidden gem. Looking for a great pub in Leland? Well I’ve found it. Awesome beer selection, great menu, super nice patrons, and Jameson on tap!! It gets no better

My goodness the Reuben was fantastic!!!!! I usually get the burger which I LOVE too, plus the salad ohhhhhh yeah. Will be back again and again and again...

Good food, good drinks, and a nice indoor and outdoor pub feel. Struggle sometimes with having enough help but it's been much better the last two visits.

I ordered the New York Strip w/mashed potatoes, and broccoli. The sides were very properly muted. Potatoes were lightly seasoned, and the broccoli steamed with a touch of butter.....as they should be, because that steak... Oh, that steak.

I was there for Steak Night (they have it every Saturday). They buy large slabs of beef, and hand cut in house to keep the costs down. Blessed be the hands that cut, and prepared my steak.

Oh! Their fish, and chips; and country pie are always good too, but that steak out shines all.

A good steak dinner should contain three parts. The meat, a veggie side, and a good beer. The meat should shine above the others....we don't go out for mashed potato night....that's just silly. We go for steak.

The steak deserves a paragraph all it's own. 1 inch thick, maybe more, and completely even which lends to good cooking. The chef used a good bit of salt, and some pepper, cuz that's all it needs. I asked for medium, and that's what I got. Medium from end to center, it was juicy, excellent crust with a tiny bit of char, and I could have cut it with a butter knife. I was able to use the juices from the steak to season the mashed potatoes.....so choice. Little bits of meat, and juice, and potato?...what?!?!?!

After I was done trying to sop up what I could from the plate without looking rude, I noticed I still had a beer to drink.....my bad. I blame the steak.

Have been there in the past and it was 3 to 4. Sunday it was a 2 and that's being gracious. 3 out of the 4 plates we got were just not good. Fries were cold, fish was overcooked, ordered a med-rare burger got a med-well (zero red)...it was not a stellar day for the kitchen and I believe there were only 2 other tables working at the time so it wasn't lost in the rush. I told the young waitress about the burger she just said "oh sorry"...no offer to make it right or I'll tell the kitchen.....not at all her fault but some training might be in order. So we dropped a $100 but it's hard to imagine doing it again based on yesterday. On the bright side the beer was good...
